This was formerly a contest; the deadline was August 17 and I'm gonna pick one of the submissions from that time frame to animate. This is no longer a deadlined contest and is just a submission-based thing: if you make a dragon and I absolutely love it, I'll animate it! (since not many people are gonna enter so I'm not worried about leaving it open lol. Ignore all stuff about the actual contest bit (i.e. prizes, deadline) below, but tips still hold) /*********************************** * RULES * ***********************************/ 1. make a dragon! 2. submit! # var deadline = "August 17" Prizes: (nothing AMAZING lol, a full animated dragon is enough work for me) winner: I will make an animation of your dragon hovering, based on https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/411014573/ honorable mentions: loves and/or faves ["winner" prize is reserved for followers, see FAQ if you want more detail] You'll do better if: ~You have a cool design/colors/etc, even if you aren't the best artist in the world ~You have multiple drawings of your dragon from different angles ~You have extra info or a backstory on your dragon somewhere ~Your project has extra stuff (like animated particles, a background, maybe nice buttons for the info, etc) ~You include a color palette and/or other design details, this can be hidden inside the project if you like ~Your dragon is full-body (I want a full-body dragon please so I can draw it; but if you are really bad at claws/feet or something, as long as you hide them in a way that fits the artwork, I won't mind) ~You find a piece of music by @StarflowerVII that goes well with your dragon and use it in the project ;) ~(I jest, you are more than welcome to find other music instead. But music is a definite plus!) You'll do worse if ~I find out you used someone else's art, or copied directly over a reference, or your artwork otherwise looks like you did not do it yourself and you gave no credit ~You use someone else's lineart/draw over a reference (this is not PREFERRED, but it is ALLOWED if you give credit, unlike stealing art) An FAQ that I totally made up: Are you providing lineart? -Only if a bunch of people ask for it, otherwise no Can my dragon be an OC? -Yes *sigh* (jk, I don't mind that much, I just want it to be original. and that's what OC means anyway lol) Does it have to be a dragon? -Yes, if you want to have a chance of me animating it. If you just want to submit something else anyway, go ahead! Do I have to be following you? (also: what if I'm following @StarflowerVII but not you, does that count?) -You don't have to be following me to enter or get an honorable mention! The prize is reserved for ye the followers of @Starflower343 though; this project wouldn't exist without you ;) Please submit your art as a remix of this project! You're allowed to send it in a comment instead, but that makes it easier for me to lose track of it and I don't want to do that :<
WINNER: @moonkid97 HONORABLE MENTIONS: @kindforall prize [final animation]: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/411060028/ The final animation I make will have @moonkid97's dragon and @kindforall's dragon's eyes, as @kindforall made excellent eyes and @moonkid97 conveniently omitted them! ~code/etc by me~ I'm not exactly at 242 followers anymore but I was so it counts :> yah yah enough about how many followers you have already, you aren't nearly as famous as OTHER scratchers and you know it and there are plenty of scratchers out there with fewer followers than you who are totally under-recognized
