Click on the green flag and watch the 6-sided shape (irregular hexagon) repeat itself and overlap each row. See https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/413090450/ for the original project. Now that I have copied the original project I can simply add a Set y Variable block to each of the five My Block definitions and alter the amount of the hexagon that overlaps the other hexagons. The horizontal rows alternate these coordinates: (-240, y+40), (-240, y), (-220, y-20), (-200, y), (-200, y+40), (-220, y+60), (-240, y+40) then (-180, y+40), (-180, y), (-160, y-20), (-140, y), (-140, y + 40), (-160, y+60), (-180, y+40)
Thanks to @PinkyPepper, my new friend from Unstuck 2020, who provided a suggestion to shorten the coding stack for each row (see Comments below) Source of Diaper Pattern is Handbook of Ornament by Franz Sales Meyer (originally published 1888) Online copy can be found at: https://archive.org/details/handbookoforname00meyeuoft
