Instructions

Heyo, I figured I'd finally do a project that's sorta introducing some of my new characters, particularly three of the characters that I've been writing about lately! In order from left to right, their names are Charlotte, Yuna, and Malcolm! A few of you might have already met Malcolm before, but I figured I'd make some brief character overviews for all three of them :D Also, until further notice, I think I'm just gonna collectively call them the "Obsidian Squad" or something like that. There's a reason behind that name, but it probably isn't final :P ~Charlotte: A somewhat younger member of the Obsidian Organization who happens to be the daughter of the group's leader. Because of this, she often gets special privileges that most others have to work extremely hard to earn, but many members have become bitter towards her because of this. Despite that, though, Charlotte is always enthusiastic and cheerful, and will always try to find a way to have fun with anything that she's doing. ~Yuna: A newer member of the Organization who never really had much of a life for herself before joining. She'd always lived on the streets in the past, and while her survival instincts had been honed over years of trying to live on her own, she never had time to enjoy herself or get a proper education. Essentially, she's got good street smarts, but not as much so in terms of book smarts. While it's taking her a while to adjust to a new life in the Organization, she's felt more at home there than she has anywhere else. She'd always been empathetic towards others, and she hopes that she can help some people out now that she finally has the chance to. ~Malcolm: The oldest of the three, and by far the least approachable. Often hiding his inner emotions, his cold, calculating gaze alone is often enough to drive others away. He initially seems to lack much empathy, for the most part, and isn't afraid to honestly speak his mind on most subjects (minus a few...). Before his time in the Organization, he was given some of the best education that he could've reasonably acquired as a way to kick start a life of success, up until the point that the Organization essentially forced him to join, causing his plan for his future to quickly fall apart. While Malcolm is particularly intelligent and great at coming up with strategies, improvisation is anything but his specialty.

Description

~Music is "The Forgotten" from Fire Emblem Three Houses ~All art and characters in the project were made by me ~And I also just wanted to say thanks to @Ivystripe, they really helped me out with the character proportions! The main reason I wanted to draw these characters is just so I'd have a physical reference to look to whenever I was trying to write about them and whatnot, but I also wanted to have a bit of fun and try to make their character designs and poses a bit more unique, down to their clothing. (I saw a video about how to improve clothing design on characters, but that was *after* I'd finished Malcolm, so that's why his design might be a bit more dull than the others; if you've got any suggestions on how I can make it a bit more interesting, lemme know :O) In addition, I'd heard about "character silhouettes" a while ago and how that could improve character design, so I tried experimenting with that too. (you can see the silhouettes if you press space or click) Yes, I know I'm not the best at drawing humans, but give me a break, I just needed some form of ref for them- ((also, no, Malcolm's eyes aren't really like that, it's just meant to be the glare on his glasses, and I just chose to do that instead because this was supposed to be somewhat simplified and I'd already learned that drawing eyes behind glasses is PAAAAIIIIIIN-))
