Just sent a few suggestions to the scratch team. But i kinda turned it into a petition ig love it to sign (bc i just realized that i cant count all the comments) lets get this thing rOoLLiNg the message (warning: its long) is in notes and credits real credits: Google docs for the idea Scratch team for (hopefully) taking my suggestion? also, already contacted the ST about it, but if you did too, and they received a bunch of similar requests, that might make them actually think about doing this okay and maybe scratch the work history part. too much data would prob make scratch more laggy thanks for helping me realize that guys <33 not changing the notes and credits tho, because i think i should keep it as the exact message i sent to the Oh and also, a lot of people have said this already, but there should be a way to filter new activity messages so that you don't get them, but only if you want to. Good suggestions (found in the comments): "also I good idea is to have a limit of people that can work on the same/group project. Like a max number of people. Maybe like 15? Also, this is just a suggestion, if you use it I would like to be credited. Thanks and I love your idea!" - @GreenElephants18 "Yes! This is exactly one thing Scratch Needs! Collabs and things like MAPS would be so much easier to make! Maybe Scratch Team could add like a (moderated) chat on the workspace so people can communicate with everyone." - @EGHQ
Dear Scratch Team, I was wondering if you could make it possible for multiple scratchers to work on one project as a group, and I think it'd be really helpful to add a work history (like google docs). So how I think the group work should be is basically like google docs, where you can invite scratchers (by username) to join you on an already existing project, and could pick whether to let them edit, comment (as you can already, by right clicking on a block), or only view. The owner would also be able to remove others, but other people on the project wouldn't be able to remove anyone. To make sure no rude scratchers mess up someone's hard work, I have another suggestion. Many scratchers face this problem already, so I think it should be solved. I'm asking for you guys to try and add a work history, much like google docs. Sometimes, we accidentally delete a sprite, or a bunch of costumes, and though there is a "restore costume/sprite" button under edit, there isn't a work history, which makes it impossible to get back hard work when you accidentally delete multiple things. Also, when you reload or enter on another tab, the already existing button doesn't work. A work history that is always available to restore work would be very very helpful to many of us. If you added these, many problems would be fixed. I used to make games, but gave up after a year of not being able to find the problems in my code. If group work on a project was available, then I could invite fellow scratchers who are good at code to help. Much like a studio invite, they could turn it down or choose to help, but this would really be helpful to those who need it. Also, many scratchers are doing collabs (collaboration projects) these days and have to remix or find other ways to make the projects. If we could invite the person we're collabing with, and promote them to co-owner of a project, then we could have one project by both collaborators instead of having to remix and working separately. This would promote group work in the community. Thank you for listening to my suggestions. I hope you find them both helpful and reasonable. Stay safe!
