- - - I've seen a ton of projects talking about homophobia/transphobia, so I decided to make my own. I do not support homophobia/transphobia in any way, shape, or form. I'm not targeting anyone. - - - 1. "It's in my religion!" Using your religion as an excuse for homophobia/transphobia? No. I have friends who are Christian, and they support the LGBTQ+ community. @Canarysong is Christian, and she's part of the LQBTQ+ community! the Bible is over 2,000 years old. Here's a part that's commonly misinterpreted: "man shall not lie with man". The original phrase was "man shall not lie with boy", and in adult and child. - - - 2. Using the wrong pronouns. I'm so done with people who do this. Pretty much EVERY SINGLE SCRATCHER puts their pronouns on their profile. You could take 2 seconds out of your day to read them. What makes me even madder is when people do read them and use incorrect pronouns purposefully. I understand if someone is friends with a transgender person and uses their previous pronouns. But when little kids don't take the time to read /or/ just ignore it, that's what triggers me. - - - 3. "We should have a straight pride month!" No. Just no. You get 11 months out of 12 to be yourself. Have straight/hetero/cis people EVER been harassed, oppressed, or even KI//ED for identifying as straight/hetero/cis? No. They haven't. That's the point of pride month! To give the LGBTQ+ community a chance to be themselves. - - - 4. Scratch. When you make a Scratch account, it specifically says "Scratch welcomes people of all races, genders, sexual orientations, etc." What's currently happening is going against all of that! ST is doing nothing to stop all the homophobia/transphobia that's currently happening. - - - Overall, I'm just disgusted by Scratch.
