Edit: R.I.P Bessie... 2018–2021. I still love you, my sweet baby.. This song, is literally how I feel about my Chicken, Bessie. I was so happy when I got to choose her name, I never saw myself as any of my eight Chicken's owner, I always saw myself as their sister... But that all changed only two days ago, when my little Bessie started getting bullied by seriously everybody in the flock, now she's scared and runs whenever a Chicken get's close to her. But I started giving her treats from my hand and holding her a lot whenever we let the Chickens go out into our backyard. Now she seems to want to be near me, and whenever a Chicken hurts her, she runs straight to me. And two days ago, I had put seven of the Chickens away, I left Bessie out so I could put her in individually, but as soon as I put her in, three of our Chickens: Clemmie, Sadie, and Lottie all pecked her once, once Bessie was pecked like, three times she ran out of the coop and cuddled against my stomach. And only yesterday, I found out, she probably thinks.... I'm her mother.
