They are small porpoise-like sea mammals, thought to be the most endangered sea mammal in the world. Gillnets frequently entangle them and so they are unable to breathe, resulting in them drowning. To help, in 2015 fishing with gillnets became banned but sadly it is still practiced illegally. Not much is known about them as they are shy, primitive creatures. They eat a variety of fish, crustaceans and squid. There are less than 20 of them left.
Thanks to my Alexa who told me about them when I asked about endangered animals. Since then I have become passionate about saving these lesser known sea mammals. https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/411505064/remixtree No. I'm not just doing this cos i want likes and faves. Unlike some people, I don't do that. We need to save the vaquitas. Now.
