Fuyu crouched down, watching the bushy-tailed squirrel. She felt herself start to lose her balance, but stayed focused. She lunged at it, but the squirrel perked up and dashed towards the nearest tree, climbing it with such speed. “Dagnabbit!” She spat, staring at the tree. The squirrel seemed to mock her, squealing. Fuyu staggered off, whining in hunger. She was skinny, horribly skinny. Fuyu hadn’t eaten in days, it felt like moons. She barely caught anything, maybe one thing every few days. It had been moons since Brokenpaw had spared her, taking her to No Clans’ Land to live on her own in peace. It sure doesn’t feel like peace. She thought, groaning. Fuyu staggered back to a small, hollowed-out hole in a tree, curling up on the wooden, rather barren floor. She laid there, whimpering in pain. After some time, Fuyu managed to fall asleep. /Fuyu founder herself in the middle of a pitch-black land. No other life forms except for her. She perked her ears, hearing a melodic tune beginning to play./ /She swiveled her ears, trying to identify where the tune was coming from, but, it was coming from /all/ angles. After some time, the tune began to get louder, and closer./ /Fuyu backed up, suddenly feeling as if the wind was knocked out of her. /What’s happening?/ She thought, glancing around. “H-Hello? Ith anyone there?”/ /No response./ /A pair of glowing, deep blue eyes stared into her singular icy eye. The melodic tune changed to silence. Then, to a dark, evil laugh from a cat with an empty soul./ //Crowbite./ She thought, glancing around. Little did she know, Sparkstar’s Shadowclan had lost the Rebellion. So, she snarled. “Come out coward!”/ /No response./ /”Come ou-” She gagged, feeling something slice deep into her throat./ Fuyu gasped, awakening from her horrible nightmare, or, was it? She growled, peering out of the hole in her tree. She was safe. No villain in sight. Fuyu exhaled, collapsing again. This time, though, it was from exhaustion. How much longer would she /truly/ be safe? A question not to be answered, but found out within time. Time. A valuable thing. She felt as if she didn't have much left. Fuyu took a moment to dig deep into her mind, to traumatizing memories of her past. Getting her eye tore out, her leg torn off by a bird, and her tail. Losing her tail was the worst of it all- Fuyu was unable to climb. How much worse could it /really/ get. Was her dream a warning of the future to come? Surely not. ~~ Bella~
