Instructions

Well... here we are again... a new art style...? In these past few months, I've been looking at my artwork, and I just felt that something wasn't right. It looked too symmetrical, there were anatomy issues... the list goes on. It was... fake. I had used the crop tool at least 50 times to create that "artwork." And when I inspected even closer, I noticed the many quivers in the lineart that had been caused by the light trembling in my hand (I use a mouse for all of my artwork). Soon, I will have to move on to something more comfortable if I ever want a future in art. I've been trying to replicate techniques that other more experienced artists have been using, but there's a problem. If I take inspiration, people may think that I'm trying to steal other artists' styles from them- which is not my intention at all. I'm just trying to create something that's easier to draw so that art doesn't feel like a chore anymore. I've been feeling so confused for such a long time, and I believe that I might've discovered an alternative. But, if I'm being honest... my new art style (on the left) is a lot more comfortable, and more authentic as well (notice how in the second drawing, the purple circle used for guidelines is distorted and shattered, while the other is still mostly intact). I don't know anymore... so that's why I'm turning to the community. Advice can be really helpful in situations like this. I need something that's unique, but at the same time, I want to truly be myself and have the ability to express myself through my artwork. Also, I want to ensure that you all are enjoying the art I make- I mean, why should I continue posting projects if nobody cares for my content? If you've read all of this, thanks so much for your time. And please (if you want), leave your honest opinion on what I should do with my style, because I'm completely torn. NOTE: All current OTA payments, animations, and trades will be completed in my current style before I transition (if I do). Thanks!
