Welcome to Smart Cards! In this extremely simple card game you have to play a card higher than you opponent. Get them to waste their good cards, and try to secure your way to victory. This game is best played with 2 people in Multiplayer. You can play over and over (as this is relatively short) and learn your opponent's habits, and outplay them as they do the same to you! However, this game does have CPUs if you have nobody to play with. Though this isn't programmed in, I do recommend playing this in a best of 3 or more. The rounds are relatively short and (if you're playing with another human) you can pick up their habits and use that to your advantage. -RULES- In every round, you and your opponent both secretly pick a card from your hand numbered 1-5. Whoever has the higher card gets a win, and both played cards get removed from the game. (In the event that both players played the same card, neither player gets a win and the cards are returned to the player's hands.) Whoever is the first to get to 3 wins, wins! (Ties can happen when both players have only one card in hand, and both of those cards are the same.) -CONTROLS- In Single player, you click the card you want to play from the selectable cards at the bottom of the screen. In Multiplayer, you have to discreetly press a button to select a card. What buttons apply to what cards are written in game, though I'll write it here. Player 1 uses Q,W,E,A,S Player 2 uses I,O,P,K,L The buttons are labelled here in order from 1-5. Remember to cover up your selection with your other hand!
This is a recreation of a previous game I made, called Smart Cards. (hence the name and the Bluebatstar Recreations icon in the thumbnail) The original game was pretty awful. I was so lazy making it that it contains tons of really bad glitches (that I wouldn't even share a project with nowadays) that made the game barely function. I found the old project, decided to have a go and thought 'I need to remake this!' so I did then and there. This only took a few hours. (I was currently in the middle of making a larger project when I decided to make this, so I put that one on hold until I got this done.) This recreation is barely recognisable from the original. Here's the change list. -Made the project actually work as intended -Added multiplayer -Heavily reworked the graphics -Reworked CPU AI. -Added a menu. -General improvements all over the place. Smart Cards was actually a card game I created several years ago, when I was around 10. The rules to that were a little different then the ones here, but the premise is still the same with the numbers 1-5. This project was relatively easy to make, though it was my first time using clones like this. I enjoyed making this anyway, despite the simplicity of the game.
