Getting Unstuck 2020 Day 4 Prompt: create a that uses broadcasting blocks Created with members of @brapacc 's reading circle group from Italy, Poland, Turkey and Sweden Castle interior inspired by @AngelaSofiaRobotics project for Day 1 https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/409947728/ Reflection: Was wonderful to make a project while in a Zoom call today with members of my friend's reading circle. We chatted whilst creating, and it was exciting to hear a little about Giovanni's work. Some members were new to Scratch, so we demo'd and experimented with simple blocks at first. Then we each started making our own project, sharing our screens in turn. We also collaborated together by suggesting ways each of the projects could be expanded. Together, we explored use of the text to speech and translate extensions too, as we were an international group so spoke many different languages. I was especially happy to learn how to say and spell 'Hello' in Swedish (Hej), so I wanted to use that in my project today too. Did not add the messaging blocks until after the call, as wanted a very simple project to share within the group. The idea for the castle interior was inspired by the magical looking animated background in Angela's Day 1 project. My version was very quickly hand drawn, so please check out Angela's here to see the full magical effect: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/409947728/ So very glad I could create alongside others in Getting Unstuck today. Thankyou Deniz, Roger, Iwona and Giovanni. And big big thanks to @brapacc for inviting me there! <3
