Scratch is supposed to be our safe place because our homes don't accept us. There are several projects floating out an about saying "well I don't support LGBTQ+ because of my religion!" ok!!! that's completely fine, you are allowed to have your own beliefs! NONE of us are trying to force you to accept us. You make it sound like we're evil which is already how most of our family members. Our friggen FAMILY makes us feel. So stop it. But when you say stuff like "this is an uNpOpuLar oPiniOn" it gets a little,,, hhhhhh Human rights are definitely not an opinion my guy! You're basically saying it's an opinion to dislike gays. It's an opinion to be gay. It's not. It's not an opinion at all just like it's not a choice. Being LGBTQ+ is not a choice, it's your body's attraction hormones. you don't CHOOSE who you crush on, feelings develop because of you brain and body saying "that person is cute and kind and funny" or whatever Do you people really think we would CHOOSE this life where we are literally criticised and looked down upon? Do you think we would CHOOSE to be this hurt and wrecked because of your "opinions". Do you think we would CHOOSE for people to treat us as lesser beings? No. You wouldn't either. Also!! You guys are saying you don't support us because of your religion? I am Mormon I am literally a Mormon. I've grown up with a church that I now realized have kinda painful views toward people like me. BUT IM LITERALLY A GAY TRANS MORMON LMOA religion is NOT stopping you. You're allowed to have opinions but they should be your own opinions not the hivemind's. I know several people in my church that support and ARE LGBTQ+ so you can't say "my religion doesn't support it" because. Do you know the beliefs of everyone in your religion? No. I could say that every one in my religion don't drink coffee but I don't know that. Just say it's against your own personal beliefs, don't blame a ton of innocent people in your religion. Also I got some really nice words from anonymous friend earlier because of a gender crisis so I'm gonna use a bit of her words here God created us with his own hands after himself. He has a plan. Do you think we're violating His plan? No! That's humanely impossible! This was part of it so saying you don't support us is kinda like downgrading part of His plan. Just saying. But He would love us no matter what. No. Matter. What. So why can't you? Is it that hard to give someone a hug and say "it's ok I still love you" That is all I wanted. Instead my parents lectured me. For a long 2 hours. They don't think anything of it but I do. Every day. Every single day. Now for those of you bashing the ST for taking down your projects and studios THANK GOD FOR THEM!! Ok like I get how you're saying "hey that's unfair these are religious beliefs" but honestly lately? your views on LGBTQ+ seem to be the only things you are sharing? like are there no other parts of your religion, do you guys sit in the pews and bash gay people for 3 hours? Wha- God I can't believe I'm siding with ST because I have a few bones to pick with them myself but. They're trying to keep us safe they're not trying to hurt you. LGBTQ kids are 4x more likely to commit the self oof than "normal" kids. Kids who don't feel accepted or loved for who they are are 8x more likely. The ST is trying to protect kids from comment that you don't think are hurtful... But they are So think twice before you rage post against them on the issue because your words can cause the loss of another And you are not silenced. We're not trying to muffle your beliefs. But it doesn't really seem like you're thinking about the results of it. And PRIDE MONTH boy do I have a ton of stuff to cover in this project Pride month is NOT made to force people to accept us are you KIDDING ME Was christmas made to FORCE people to be Christian? No, Christ was literally born on that day so. And be honest all you care about are presents. Pride month was made because we are suffering. We're being smothered, we are dying it was made because we have pride in who we are. Or at least we want to. People making projects saying they don't support us tho are kinda ?Dampering it? Look, it gives closested kids a chance to celebrate, can we literally have 1 thing? 1 THING without being criticized? basically in short Scratch is supposed to be a safe place. They don't want the lgbtq community to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome so yeah the bots gonna delete stuff even slightly offensive You shouldn't discriminate against people just for smth they can't change. We can't change our orientation or skin color just like you cant change your beliefs.
