The successor to Nintendo's ink-filled family shooter launched in the Summer of 2017 was praised for its evolution of Splatoon's core gameplay and the new features (such as Salmon Run). It garnered much praise in the music area, however, with fresh tracks from new stars in the Splatoon world. Now, Splatoon 2's new story DLC is out and could be a small game in itself; for $20, the sheer size and scope of the expansion is well worth the money. In addition to some of the most challenge the game has to offer, the Octo Expansion also boasts a whopping 36 tracks of new music, with styles ranging from more Splatoon-like tunes to downright vaporwave.
