Press SPACE or click (background is clickable!) For those who can't read my trash handwriting, this description is here for you, as well as added details you'll need! READ ME PLEASE Hi! My name is lemonghost, but call me Lemon, or Ghost! I use She/Her and They/Them pronouns (Please tell me yours, or I'll refer to you as them!) This class will focus on Design components such as -structure! -color -and even more! Remember! Research is amazing for this class! We will also be using anatomy, as well as multiple styles! Feel free to convert things to your style, but use the skills! Again, RESEARCH! Watch videos, read, and observe artists! Here's a quick Crash Course on design! We'll be focusing on character design for now! Look at A and B! A physical traits seem to have: -a long reed grass (rural perhaps?) -A farmer's/sun-blocking hat (straw?) -relaxed shoulders? -webbed feet! (water nearby?) Through this, we can infer that A is a farmer of sorts, and is near water. Based on their shoulders, and overall look, they are calm, and have a tint of a southern "bayou" feel (Look at Disney's Princess and the Frog). Just based on this, we have their basic setting, personality, and job just conveyed through this! Now, it's time for B! Their physical traits are: -bald head (purposeful? accident?) -muscle (only on arms?) -No shave on legs and armpits (accident bald) -stubble -barely any lower body strength -gym shorts (works out) Very quickly we can infer that B goes to the gym. The bald head with a shine expresses their intensity, but their body hair implies that the bald head was accidental, but they went with it. The muscle only on the arms means that they have upper body strength, but not lower. They seems extremely confident due to the thick eyebrows, and the energetic smile! You can mainly tell this through: -Body Language What their position? How do they seem to convey the emotion? -Clothes What are they wearing? What colors do they have on? Is it for heat? Cold? Wetness? Dry? -Body Shapes Are there triangles in the body structure? Rectangles? Circles? How are the proportions? -Colors Are they Warm? Cold? Saturated? Multiple? You can draw a basic conclusion from this! (Remember, they don't need all of these, but they help! A silhouette on line-art is enough, like with A and B!) There is homework! This won't be a test of skill! I have drawn a character! Give it a backstory, name, and personality just based on the picture! This will be due in 1-2 weeks! If needed, ask for an extension! Next week we'll try to make characters only on a personality and setting description!
