Looks: tall, slim-bodied , short-furred with long ears small ram-like horns and a bit burnt tail tip. He always holds a lit red lantern in his mouth and has 3 light yellow fire laterns floating around him.somehow. Since Huǒ líng is a spirit he can choose whether to be visible/invisible to others or not but he is mostly invisible.He likes to roam around the streets during Chinese new year and look at the people having fun.He may prank little kids by suddendly appearing infront of them and disappearing.He thinks the looks on their faces are priceless. Huǒ líng is also a good luck/wish spirit so people like to make small shrines or give him gifts so as to have ''good luck for the whole year'' .For the offering they use a red latern, a few candles and a cup of tea as a gift .Huǒ líng makes his presence noticeable by lighting/putting out the candles with what seems a small breeze.He actually fastly walks past the candles and uses his tail tip to light/put them out ,so that's why it is a bit burnt.He grants the good luck wishes most of the time but if their wish was something selfish or bad he gets angry. When Huǒ líng is angry he appears infront of the person with his back and back side of his front legs covered in fire.According to how bad the wish was he either gives back luck to the person for the whole year or he (rarely) sets the room on fire which may end up killing the person.
