Here's a new thing I've decided to start, polls. Because even I don't make the best decisions. Also, democracy. I wanted to make this project for a while, so I finally got to scripting and here it is! This one concerns my character sprites. I've decided to keep all my OC sprites to myself, with a few exceptions. The only sprites I share publicly these days are the free-to-use ones like Maverick and (soon enough) Edelgard. Why do I keep all of my 30-and-counting OC sprites to myself? It's simple: I don't want them to be stolen. This does sound like an irrational fear considering how niche I am, but some of them have been recolored in the past few years. Considering this is the website where you're encouraged to share and remix creations, it can be tricky to deal with theft. I have decided to stop this issue completely by not making my recent sprites public at all. Okay, here's the part where you either vote for me to make my 30-and-counting OC sprites public, or to keep them private to myself and a few friends. The first option is to have them be public. I realize it's selfish to keep my sprites to myself in the site where you're encouraged to share your creations. It can also be inconvenient for other scratchers who might want to feature them in their own projects. If this becomes the majority vote, I'll share a project compiling all my updated OC sprites sometime after I release SCR V.2. (well that's out now lol) I will have to trust that none of you guys will claim them as yourself, or do weird stuff to them. The second option is to keep them private. I've already explained why I wouldn't want to make their sprites public. To summarize, I fear that they could be stolen for some lazy recolor or disturbing "joke". If this becomes the majority vote, my OC sprites will continue to be kept only to myself. I will share them with people I trust, but they'll otherwise be near-inaccessible. I don't have a definitive date on closing this poll - probably when I think there are enough votes for me to decide. Please be serious about this or I'll just default to Option 2.
