Chapter 2: I woke up, and again, Light's foot was resting on my muzzle. I pushed it off roughly, and stood up, shaking leaves, and mud debris off of my cream-colored pelt. Light squealed and woke up. "Leaf! What was /that/ for?" She yowled. I growled at her. "Your foot was on my muzzle," I said. I looked up, waiting for mom or dad to tell us to stop fighting, but Green Apple and Furry weren't in our makeshift den. Light looked at me in confusion, probably having the same thought. "They might be hunting?" She suggested. I nodded, but I couldn't help thinking about last night's conversation with Mom. "/The danger coming upon us soon/" her words echoed in my head. "Well, lets get up Storm, and wait for them to come back," I said at last, after pushing last night to the back of my mind. We quickly woke up Storm and told her the situation. She sighed. "They probably left because you two were being jerks last night." She peeped. "Hey!" I hissed, before jumping on her in a play fight. We tumbled around for what seemed like forever, but Light got us up in a hurry. "Mom and Dad still haven't come back..." She muttered. Me and Light shared a small look. I knew she and I had an idea of where the might have gone. "The Danger..." I whispered while Light said it louder. Storm looked at us in confusion. "What danger? What are you talking about?" I looked grimly down at my little sister. "I'll tell you on the road," I said, before bursting out of the den, into the morning air. It was cold, and all three of us shivered. It was getting closer and closer to the Ice-Days, and we needed mom and dad before then. As we padded along a rough and gravely trail, I told Storm about the danger. Storm narrowed her eyes. "She was gonna tell you in them morning, but their gone right now? Do you really think that's a coincidence?" I stopped short. "Do you think someone was spying on us?" I whispered as my two sisters looked back at me. They nodded in unison. "That must have been it." Light muttered. As we kept along the path, I caught the scent of an unfamiliar cat. "What's that?" I whispered. We turned around, and a black tom was sitting, looking at us with an ice-blue glare.
