Just a little project I cooked up in my spare time. I though it would be fun to create scratch themed MTG cards, so here they are! (25+ cards!) If you've never heard of Magic: The Gathering, then I don't blame you. If there was an award for the "most played game that nobody's ever heard of", MTG would win the grand prize. I got hooked when I was 7, because I was always good at understanding rules (it's rated 12+, but just because of complexity), and I've been playing ever since. Just type "mtg rules" into the search bar and read the rules. Press space for next card. drag the card around to see the hole thing. Here's a rundown of my thoughts on the cards: -To me, Giga seemed like she was really nice and funny, so I gave her the distracting ability, so as she could easily walk past guards while telling a joke. -I decided not to make Gobo a single creature, but a whole species because he didn't strike me as being very great on his own. The ability to have any amount 1/1 Gobo's with haste for only one green mana in your deck allows you to horde your enemy very early in the game. -I often think of Nano as a party-goer do to his assortment of happy faces and one mad face, so I combined that with him being a very vicious fighter when you mess one up, often harboring miss led rage against his friends, hence the loss of life. -Pico works very well in the two-headed zombie format, as you and your partner can pass him back and forth, making him more and more powerful, while attacking every so often. I made him like this given the dazed expression seen on the card, making me think that he'd just attack whoever if he was told to, because he's transfixed by the music. -Tera's mad costume looked to me like a mother who caught her son stealing a cookie from the cookie jar (I've seen it a multitude of times in real life XD). I took this to mean that she was the caretaker of the group of Scratch mascots, so I gave her the ability to "take care" of creatures, even your opponents ones. -I made the Scratch Cat very powerful on the reasoning that he is the most well known Scratch mascot. That's about it. -After the mascots, I started doing famous Scratchers, which I made all Planeswalkers. Griffpatch isn't really anything to special, but his mass follower creation can work well in a deck focused on Gobo's, running your opponents through with many Followers and Gobo's. - I'm sorry I didn't do @Will_Wam, but his PFP was too big and I couldn't crop it to the right size. Anyway, Ceebee is definitely an important part of the Scratch community (being the most followed Scratch Team member at 4th most followed on Scratch, 3rd in the U.S), so I made her powerful to boot. Her -15 is hard to get to, given that she starts at 1, but it's DEFINITELY worth it. You also don't have to worry that by not doing any other minuses you're not reaching her full potential, since she doesn't have any other minuses! -BoyMcBoy would be awesome in any deck with a good amount of artifacts, as his -X includes all artifacts, allowing you to deal whopping amounts of damage. One downside is that you'd have to include green, which doesn't synergy well with artifacts (Blue and Black work good with artifacts, so ideally you'd want it to be a green/Blue/Black/Red deck, since red is the most artifact-worthy color). One work around to ths would be to have lots of green mana ramp to allow for bigger artifact creatures to come out onto the board to do even MORE damage (mana rocks, artifacts that produce mana, such as Sol Ring and Gilded Lotus, are usually used for this, but you can make an exception). -Huntedskelly is kind of a joke, but his -10 can heal you and, after enough work, make you Immortal. His -5 can be used to deal massive amounts of damage, especially combined with BoyMcBoy (Pro tip: he's red/blue, so he fits right in with that Artifact deck I know you're making) -Sharkyshar also works in that artifact deck, and especially well with the mana ramp from green. Once she gets her -15, you've practically won. It's much better than Huntedskelly's, as it makes you undefeatable immediately. -PotatoAnimator is a great way overrun your opponents with, yes potatoes, while also destroying all of your opponents non-potato creatures, so beware of any opponent who's using a potato deck. -GoldenEagleStudios also fits with that artifact deck, additionally creating Nerf guns which increase the power of the attached creature significantly, also granting them reach to protect you from creatures with flying. -MJM3 fits with the green overrun deck that so far would include lot's of Gobo's and Griffpatch. If you want to make that deck and you're playing EDH, then I don't know what to tell you for commander, but you can certainly place MJM3 in there somewhere! Her copy ability is similar to GoldenEagleStudios, but not quite as powerful. -Now you can look th rough the tokens yourself and figure out what they're good for!
