Formula One is the single most expensive sport in the world, rendering it prohibitively expensive for nearly anyone unless your last name is Stroll. But back in 1974, things were different; many privateers fielded often-strange cars, none of which saw much success. But one of the strangest hailed from Japan, and looked an awful lot like something you'd stick to your magnetic fridge. But underneath the somewhat austere appeaerance was the ubiquitous DFV V8 built by Cosworth, known for propelling many a team to the world championship title. The Maki? Not so much. With only one race start under its belt (where it finished last,) it's hardly a history maker, although it definitely is striking to look at. You can get stranger though, because as Ligier proved, the French alcohol in the 70's was evidently very strong.
Everything by me. This thing is quite obscure, so naturally the number of reference pictures is very small; as a result, I'm not completely sure about how accurate it is. And I hate the wheels. Maki Engineering
