Description

Click and drag left or right to start spinning- or use the arrow keys. See how fast you can make it go! SEE MY "Spin Me Template" TO REMIX: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/AddZero/406436 It tried to make it so you can easily change the text and colors. And put yours in the Spin Me Gallery: http://scratch.mit.edu/galleries/view/40131 ______________ How it works: There are a bunch of images that are displayed depending on the rotation and velocity of the spin. The slowest version of the spin has 64 frames, then when it goes faster, there are 32 frames that are slightly motion blurred, then 16 frames that are more blurred, then 8, then 4 that are very blurred. I reused allot of the code from my spinning tank project. I made the images with a free 3d program called Blender. My template file automatically makes the spins and blurred frames, so It's easy to just change the text and colors. I'll answer questions in the forum: http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=92331 WARNING, Blender is fun, free and very powerful, but a very complicated program. I've been working with it for about 7 years and I don't know everything. Its interface can be hard to learn at first- it's very different. But I tried to make customising your own spinner very easy, see the template: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/AddZero/406436 If you want to learn Blender, search for "Blender video tutorials" and "Blender forums" I can try to help too. You might be overwhelmed with Blender, that's ok. (It took me a couple years to be comfortable with it.) If so, consider learning 3d with "Google Sketch-Up" first. Feb. 8 My first featured! Thanks!
