CLOSED ----- Hi everyone, I have reached 50+ followers [ EDIT: now 80+ ], so I decided to host a dta! ----- what is a dta? 'dta' stands for 'draw to adopt'. a dta is a contest where someone makes characters, and people enter the contest by drawing the character. ----- rules: -there's no codeword, but you need to read all of the -rules (and that's a rule) -use your own art. any art that has been stolen, very heavily referenced, traced, etc. will be disqualified. also please don't use a base, even if its by you or a f2u (free to use) base. -don't claim the character as your own design if you win it (or if you don't) -your entry MUST be a remix, otherwise it will not be counted. -don't criticize anyone's entries, including yours! sometimes people say things like 'my art is horrible' and 'I'm going to lose' to get attention and win. that won't work on me. -have fun :D ----- tips to help you win: -add backstories and bios -draw full scenes -quality > quantity -make animation memes -do animated entries (these designs are really complicated, don't feel inclined to do an animation) -shade -use another program (its fine if you use the scratch editor tho) ----- other notes: -all of the designs are symmetrical (the same on both sides) **NOTE: this doesn't count accessories** -if you make an animation meme that's coded, please use your own code -I will judge on effort, not just art skill (example: if you really want the character and you make a really good backstory and the art isn't the best, you still might win) -actually use the characters if you win them! the characters deserve good homes and they don't want to be thrown into the 'up for trade' folder on someone's TH profile ----- designs! 1. Splattered stars - a space themed character 2. Crystallized dreams - a pastel character, maybe make her related to dreams?? 3. Lotus flowers - a water / pond themed character, their tail, insides of ears, paws, and eyes are water 4. Shattered hopes - edgy and city themed design 5.
