Instructions

I've started using Procreate for art, and I really like it! Here's some art from my experiments with the program :D ART (in order from oldest to newest) Thumbnail: Made on Procreate 1. Made on Scratch Bitmap Editor 2. My first experiment on Procreate (inspired by Rachel Maksy) 3. More calligraphy, also on Procreate 4. A cartoon businesswoman- inspired by the art style of Tangled: The Series 5. A style study based on the amazing @AdelineRose's art (go follow her!) 6. A self-portrait (quite pixelated, sorry XD) 7. My profile banner- I started a new style that I really like! 8. Professor Umbridge from the Harry Potter series (for @FeministRose's Villain Art Collab!) 9. Maria Reynolds from Hamilton :) 10. Katherine Plumber from Newsies: The Broadway Musical :D (uncolored lineart) 11. King George III from Hamilton 12. Orpheus from Hadestown

Description

A Note to Aspiring Artists: As you can see, the art in this project isn't perfect. My art will never be "perfect", or even close to it, but nobody's art is perfect. I'm proud of this art because I learned from it. I improved over the course of the art in this project. The best advice I can give you is never stop trying. You might be disappointed sometimes by the quality of your art or frustrated that it didn't turn out the way you wanted it to. Keep. Going. You'll never improve by giving up. Believe me, I've tried it. Always push yourself to do new things, and never stop trying because it gets hard. I believe in you. Now, go out there and show the world your beautiful art! <3 Love, Dee Art/Procreate Tips: - try to experiment and find an art style you like (the last three pieces are my new style!) more on finding an art style here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/409438410/ - make sure that you use a larger brush/smaller canvas for lineart when exporting to different sites (ex. Procreate --> Scratch) otherwise, the lineart will seem very pixelated (I did that a couple of times in this dump XD) - also, if you're exporting to Scratch and want your art to fit the screen, use a canvas that is the same dimensions as a Scratch project stage :) (480 by 360) - don't forget about shading! - clipping masks/alpha lock are your best friends :D - always have fun! (if you would like feedback on your work, you may link it in the comments :) I'll help you out the best I can!)
