Description

Deutsch unten am Ende / German description see below ----------------------- This can be a base a for your own jump&run games. It is an enlarged version of our MCS-JumpAndRun with random conrolled other Runners, some moving platforms and with X-Scroll (by http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/archmage/318823 ). Simple target is to move the Scratch-Cat with the Cursorkeys up to the red dot. The other runners have no influence in this demo-version: They are just running around. ------------------------------------- The Game is just ment as a demo: It has a simple and good physiks-Engine, but only very simple graphics, stupid game-mechanics and levels because it should only be start-base for making real complex games. ------------------------------------- You don't need to understand every structure to enlarge it. Most simple enlargement would be drawing new levels with blue color. But you could also add colors with other meanings e.g. "don't touch it" like in the remix of a pre-version: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/R3PlaX/390012 ------------------------------------- One first refinement could be more detailed graphics for running and jumping, by adding additinal phases, like here: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/archmage/291819 ------------------------------------- An other idea, I didn't have time to program jet, is to have two colors at the foot of the Scratch-Cat: Actual there is only green, that cares for stop falling when touching blue and for moving up (until the green foot touches white an blue at the same time) if you are sunken in the blue (that's the trick to move up and down when runng not horizontal platforms). With two colors at the feets (one allile bit higher that the other) you could have folowing advantages: * Background could be other that white (because you check: first color touches blue, second color doesn't touch blue) * Because of that, background could be a second (or third) moving picture. If you would scroll that additinal background pictures in differnt speeds (the most farest slow the nearest fast), it would look much more realistic. I would love to see that: Please tell me if you made it! ------------------------------------- To make a much more interesting enlargement, you could use two different colors per foot: * That would give the oportunity to have slope-detection and so to turn, when one foot touches the ground and the other does not, like you see in this project: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/toontownmiser/30220 ------------------------------------- There are much comments inside the project to explain how it works, but because I made it for my MCS-Scratch-Course it's all german. Sorry! ------------------------------------- Nevertheless I would also like to see remixes and real games by Scratchers of other native languages. So feel free to use it as a start for your own games! I'm looking foward to your results!.
