It was still quite.... terrible, with old engines and being a ZEN - but at the same time all of the bad bits were evened out by the good, the base model came with a radio and cassette (yep, a cassette in 1998) - the Brandt sourced diesel was powerful and torquey enough, earning it and its estate variant** (in 1400D form) the 'Towing Car of the Year' in 2004 in ''We're Camp!'' magazine - and best of all it was slightly competitive with other saloon cars of the era, obviously it didn't beat them but at least it was decent enough to be compared to them. **see ZEN V-Serie - coming out soon hopefully if you were buying one keep in mind all the engines except the W02920WED and Brandt BDE92 are literally from the 70s
