The Combahee River Collective (1974-1980) was an activist organization of Black feminists. Tap different parts of this photo to learn about a march they organized and led in 1979. For more information about the Combahee River Collective, I recommend this article: https://www.wbur.org/artery/2019/06/10/boston-combahee-river-collective-intersectional-black-feminism For more information about their impact on the concept of intersectionality, I recommend this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5H80Nhmn20&feature=emb_title
In honor of Juneteenth and Pride month, I wanted to make a project to celebrate activists who have fought for racial justice and queer justice. How I made this: I cut out the parts of the photo I wanted to be interactive. I used Photoshop, but I think you could use the bitmap editor too. Then I put each piece into a separate costume and used cloning to make them interactive. Credits: I got the photo from Verso. Song is "Hold On" by Podington Bear.
