nobody's figured it out yet? (i see you ambora no ur not allowed to say i want them to figure it out themselves) every single one of these quotes comes from my profile seriously where do you think i get these poses abandoned cities and museums and flashbacks don't ring any bells? the entirety of x's description? that doesn't sound like anyone? his thicc accent? (those were all quotes. modified for accents, of course, but his quotes nonetheless) (eggs) "i'll screech you" "i still stand by my theory that it's connected. just- it all fits together. 'i don't know how to solve, like, anything' then how did you know they have the same chemical composition? how did you know it would work? how did you know they had to leave? what happened?" "what the woodsicle, tuberculosis" "you look like a mini-me!" sometimes i question his greenness" low five?? anyone?? grass' name is so similar... "you don't need thrills to make a feast for the eyes" direct quote " an hour of you gotta turn around? oh no i forgot about the acid floor? oh no i forgot about the lava celing? i don't wanna be disintegrated? i don't wanna be scorched? easy" "me saying considering is my version of to clarify change my mind" "not too big, not too small- *eiffel tower joined the game* whatever it wasn't my first choice anyway" "i still think it's weird that people either love her or hate her. she's either one of your favourites or the worst character on the show. it's really weird." "and i always thought you were WARM!" "what i find interesting is that from what i have seen, people either like or hate her. there's no inbetween. she's either super bossy and mean, or, to put it, "Acts smart but feels rejected at times. But overall, she just wants to be a great leader and a great friend. May seem hard on the outside, but is actually a softie on the inside..." "so he can throw a stick 2763 miles but misses the basket? logic B)" "please i GOTTA bring her back!" surely that means something" "he'd so look at trebuchet memes. i mean he built one" "NO spaces ALL caps" -- i'm so glad my favourite character has a backstory. i'm so glad. she's one of the only- if not the only- to have one, and it's so good (and canon!). it shows us snippets and we get to go from there- very little is explained and that leaves so much for discussion. why does she look different- and not younger or shorter or anything, fundamentally different. i know it's a flashback because the setting isn't decrepid like it is in the present, and the vase that was being destroyed in the flashback was gone in the present so i can conclude pretty clearly that it was a flashback, not a vision. it's so interesting because there's a voice! and a shadow! but the shadow doesn't match up to anyone else- it's someone new, someone different. despite this, it sounds like 2 other people- which raises so many new questions. is it them? if it is why don't they look like them? why do they sound like them? why are they attacking her? why does she look different? did the event change her? what happened? and we haven't even gotten to two things that i am SO interested in. 1. she's been here before. to the abandoned city with no life. also apparently she's FROM the abandoned city?? which is so very interesting and i'd LOVE to know more but i don't actually know if that's true... but it would match up with the flashback but it's not that important because i haven't seen it explicitly stated. 2. she's been to the museum before. she's BEEN there. now i think this is doubly interesting because just before they enter, she's fine with it! he's even hesitating and she's reassuring him. even when someone else comes along and TELLS her it's not safe she still goes in. now i think that she forgot- i mean if she is from the city, then why doesn't she remember it? why doesn't she remember the attack, or anything from the city, or even when they're inside she doesn't remember anything. did something happen? is she suppressing a memory subconsciously and only when she came back she remembered? i think this makes sense because she never mentions the city in season 1- but she seems aware of it, even unafraid, when they go back in season 2. it doesn't seem to be a normal case of 'forgetting', though, because it's never mentioned in season 1 despite it being clearly a flashback and not a vision. anyways we're getting off topic but it's still SO interesting to see that uncovered. and it brings up one more, really strange question- why doesn't she seem unfazed? they leave, and she looks really distressed when it cuts back to the present. however, when they return to the garden, it's like nothing happened- they have the teleporter, but she doesn't show any kind of worry or nervousness from her. what could this mean, and why isn't she worried? does she know something we don't- that we aren't shown, but will get brought up later? (cont in notes and credits)
(prev. in instructions) the creators said season 3 (which is where this took place) wasn't over, which is a. really exciting i wish i could show you how excited i am right now and b. might mean this becomes relevant later!! i'm also thinking about how they mentioned how they couldn't tell us why a certain character (which i'll get to in a second) didn't join season 4. that might be connected, seeing as that specific character WAS SEEN IN THE PLACE JUST BEFORE THE FLASHBACK. seriously. that's important. right before she has the flashback, the character can be seen for a frame (or 2, i can't remember properly but they're there for at least 1) and disappear. this has to be important. why can't they tell us why they're not in season 4, and, more pressingly- why were they there? why were they in the museum, why were they there, why? i'm sure it's connected. now getting onto another tangent, she looks different in the flashback. SHE LOOKS DIFFERENT. FUNDAMENTALLY. it's clear she's the same person, but she's lost one of her defining traits. why doesn't she have it then? why does she have it now? was there a reason for the change? was she not always who she says she is? i have a small theory, and THIS IS NOT CANON, that she wasn't always the same character. i think that whatever happened in the museum, in the city, forced her to possibly disguise herself? change herself? change her appearance, her name, so that she couldn't get found again? and- this is going off basically nothing at this point, maybe she was so nervous not because what happened there was scarring (possibly literally, maybe that's connected to why she looks different, because they're scars) and she wanted to get away, but when she came back with a disguise on, she would have been able to be found even if she looked different? if it's even a disguise... remember, this theory has very, VERY little basis. i'm just enjoying theorising. and maybe whatever happened in the museum is why it's abandoned? again, no basis. that's just something that might be true. also- if we go back to the insects bit from season 2- it's shown that 1. the book is over a billion years old (implying she's over a billion years old but i think that was a joke, just like in the finale of season 1. i mean, who talks about that 'uncovering' bit, like, 1 person) and 2. it was printed in the same place the city was. i'm pretty sure the entire area isn't called that, i mean the canal doesn't claim the name, which would mean it was printed in the city. also a printing place is most likely going to be found in a city and not wherever it's taking place, it's not actually ever named. DO NOT TAKE THIS AS CANON but is it implying that yes, she is canonically from the city? which is also interesting to think about. plus season 5 (5 now, 4 before) is taking place right near the mountain- which would imply that they're still near the city. i don't remember how that's connected but you might be able to use it. anyways i just love how from this one little piece of information, from one episode, i can write 12 full, 500 character comments about how much i love her as a character. she's my favourite bc of this.
