Problems With Scratch [RANT]

Hello my- I have no name for you guys what am I saying- today I just feel like talking about the current state of scratch.. idk let's JuSt JuMp rIgHt InTo It!! So, I feel like that Scratch has turned into a social media, or at least like one. Many people don't care about the coding aspect of it and just want popularity and attention. For example some of the animators. Almost all of them are the same! Most of them have a character that's mostly a stick figure (idk tbh) and they always make animations about topics everyone goes through without any humor as an attempt to be "relatable". Some of them have good humor and original things in them, tho. Then there are the platformers. OH, THE PLATFORMERS! All of them are the same thing but reskined! And all the titles are like "______ A platformer: a platformer" There is no originality and the people who make them don't even care about the coding they just do it so they can get on the Home/Explore page, which always works for some reason! Then there is the community. I'll be transparent here and just say this: I don't go out of my bubble of friends on scratch. So I don't necessarily know what goes on. But I still see so many rude comments on Scratch and it's just like O_O There are so many toxic people here and I wish that people could be a bit more mature. Ok, sure yeah I think making an entire studio about what snbn did was a bit much, but we don't talk about it anymore- And some people fake mental illnesses and just put it on their profiles just for the heck of it, which is just sick. Most of the people who fake mental illnesses (for what i've seen) are gacha users >:\ They don't know anything about actually having a mental illnesses and they just put it on their profiles to make their gachasonas look "edgy". Now I could go on all day about what's wrong with the gacha community, but we're here about scratch, so let's continue on that. And finally, the ST. I think you guys kinda know what's been going on between them and me lately? (see featured project if you don't.) They are so insensitive and ban people over literally nothing! And the false reporting problem. So many famous scratchers have gotten their projects false reported, just because some 8 yr old was jealous and wanted to take down something with a lot of views. That is terrible! I wish the ST would do something about this, but idk what they're doing ._. In all, I think the Scratch Community has become a toxic place where people think they can say whatever they want, and everyone wants a bit of that popularity pie. Scratch turned "Imagine Program Share" to "Steal Post (social media term) Whine". So many people have been leaving because of the state of this website, and the only way we can stop this is with YOU.
