On May 25 2020, George Floyd was killed by Minneapolis police. He was unarmed. A white police officer put his knee on George Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, while Floyd called out “I CAN’T BREATHE” over and over again until he died. The tragic murder of George Floyd is just the latest example of racism in my country’s law enforcement, and it has gone on so long that it is accepted and seen as normal. I am not here to convince you of what your opinion on this should be, but I hope you look around at everything that is going on so you can form one. Be informed, be vocal, don’t be afraid to speak out about how you feel. Most of you are quite young and the only chance this country has of changing is if the next generation says ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
