Race: Monster Species: Merskeleton Subspecies: Cecaelia Age: +500 years Height: 7ft 6in Weight: I dunno, proly real heavy maybe???? Alignment: Neutral Good Sexuality: bisexual Nicknames: Nightmare, Mare, Goopy, Goopnoot Likes: the water, reading, learning about human culture, seafood, sleeping, swimming, sun bathing, snuggling =UwU= Dislikes: hot and/or dry weather, clothing, the snow, noisy things, dogs, fancy restaurants, fishing nets, boats Personality and info: Octopus!Nightmare, known simply as Paralysis, is a meroctopus that came from a midevial fantasy AU that is full of hybrid monsters. Despite the reputation of his alternate, Paralysis is rather caring and has a very curious nature. He may come off as cold and intimidating, but in most situations means no harm. He has a love for gaining knowledge and is a quick learner, being able to pick up human speech just from watching them. He is fascinated by their culture and how it has integrated with monster society. He got scattered bits of info from books that washed up on the beach and snippets of conversations, so he can be a bit igornerent to basic laws and social norms. In his home AU he lives in a cave secluded in the depths of the ocean, thuse tends to have somewhat animalistic habits, thought this is not uncommon for his species. He likes to show affection by hunting for food and feeding it to people he likes, and grooming them like a mother cat would by licking the top of their head. He is able to move on land and breathe air, but prefers the water and loves to swim. He usually will make a "nest" with anything soft or smells nice to him in a bathtub to sleep in, and it's rare to find him sleeping in an actual bed. He enjoys eating, and can and will eat anything, including things inedible to most. He prefers meat, especially seafood, since he's the most used to it. Since he lives in the dark depths of the ocean for the majority of his life, the sun is both a blessing and curse for him. He loves to sunbathe and will do it anywhere it suits him, but has a low tolerance to hot weather, and his goop tends to get very sticky and loose from these conditions, making him rather irritable. He is a touchy-feely type, mainly from the fact that his species main way of communicating is through sound and body language, as there was no formal language. He doesn't always fully understand human relationships, with his particular species being pretty antisocial except during their mating season, and even then do not mate for life. He is not fond of clothing, but will tolerate light-weight summer clothes when going out. He has a phobia of fishing nets from an incident that he barely got out of alive, and greatly dislikes boats for the same reason, but is not deathly scared of them like he is of nets. He is not one for fancy restaurant places because of their dress code and small food portions. Also a random note: He can still feel the emotional aura of others like the original Nightmare, but does not gain any power from this. Another note: Like a real octopus, he has a beak, but he mainly just used it for breaking the shells of his prey and things like that. He can eat this way, but does so very rarely as he can't taste with it.
