Warning: this is a complete rant Everyone can do what they want. Just take the suggestion to maybe spice up your next platformer a little! Thanks to anyone out there who saw this and changed their platformer recipe up a little. I really appreciate it. I've been making some SMM2 levels. Oof this project is marked NFE xD **READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING** I’M ONLY REFERRING TO GENERIC PLATFORMERS IN THIS PROJECT THAT USE STOLEN CODE AND/OR LAZY GRAPHICS THAT TAKE NO EFFORT TO PRODUCE, NOT UNIQUE, ENGAGING ONES. Okay, maybe I'm just really despicable or something, but I'm getting a lot of anger from people for this project and I am sorry if it seems rude. But, I will explain why this should not come off as rude. Nothing in here directly insults the projects described or their creators. All it does is show how **most** platformers are the same as others, which is **okay** as long as they are not found all over scratch for **fame**. Platformers can be a good **stepping stone** for new programmers, or a fun game when well executed, which is great! However, I find it to be an issue when a creator is sufficient enough with Scratch to make something actually new and interesting, but instead, they just make another **generic** platformer (bad art and stolen scripts) because of the fame they know it brings in. This project should not have come off as rude, but if it did I'm sorry. But really all I'm saying is that when a creator makes nothing besides generic platformers it really becomes an issue as their fame rockets them on the explore page, therefore pushing out different creators who actually deserve the spotlight for creating something unique that has not been seen by the community before. PLEASE take this into account before spamming more hateful comments. Also, people dislike that I created a platformer talking about other platformers. My point in formulating this project the way I did was to get the point across even better. You just went through my "new" platformer reading what I had to say. This should show you the truth even more because in itself, this project is exactly the same as what I'm describing. I feel this theme goes hand in hand with my point, that even though it may seem different on the surface, it's the same underneath. Controls: arrow keys and WASD keys, or mobile (tap the side of the screen you want to go to) (note: you can walljump) Sorry for this filler project. I'm currently working on much better ones. Please do not take offense to this if you make platformers like the ones described. Just please think about making more unique games instead of just the same thing that is everywhere on Scratch. This really irritates me. Look at top-loved and trending. Comment how many generic platformers you see. Please spread the message to help more impressive, interesting, and unique projects get to the top, not the same-old platformers.
