- These are now open to everyone!- Hahah The designs that I have slaved over for the past 5 days. Here they are. Enjoy them my dudes. So the theme on Tuesday was Ancient and I thought oh hey I could be some Egyptian Gods and the Olympians all today! Oh boy I was wrong. This took 5 days. I first thought, hey I could do some Hindu Gods too since it's the oldest still practiced religion or something. But the key phrase there is 'still practiced', so I ended not doing that because I don't want to disrespect the culture and religion so yeah. Also, I did not look into the myths surrounding these deities because one. Greek Mythology is not the most kid friendly thing and two. these were taking too long in the first place and there are too many stories surrounding them. Also my only exposure to these religions were the first 5 books of Percy Jackson(which I read like 2 years ago), the 1st and 2nd book of the Kane Chronicles, and like two videos so please don't yell at me that I got them way wrong. Even then I went more off of what they are the god/goddess of for the personality and design(see the Poseidon one). Also I did 13 Olympians because Hestia and Dionysus kinda just swap out depending on what myth you're reading. Rules of Claiming/around the design(Read all): You may not claim more than 3 per batch for to fairness sake. You must be apart of JOD or a former member/friend to claim, unless stated otherwise. If you have committed any theft after or before hand you may not claim a design from me throughout the game. Do not copy my design. I put hours into each batch and it's quite disheartening for someone to copy one's work. 8. Also, for the love of cheese, please read the thought process thing. There may be some rules applying to the character or to point out any design features that might be confusing. Owning the design: 1. Since these designs were given for free you may not sell them for any sort of currency(ex. DA points, dollars, euros, etc). But DTs, OTAs, DTAs, WTA, and just plain giving it away is fine. 2. Feel free to change the design a bit, just keep it recognizable! 3. Give credit to me whenever you use the design and don't claim it as your own. 4. Please use the designs. I don't really want them to go to waste. 5. As you got them for free, I have the right to revoke the design is you use it in any inappropriate way or if you don't use it within 2 months of receiving the design. 6. Feel free to change any personalities shown in the characters. 7. After the game is over we can discuss the ownership of said design to make sure you are going to keep it and do something with it. Designs: Isis: Horus: Osiris: Set: Claimed Zeus: Khonsu: Ra: Hades: Poseidon: Claimed Athena: Aphrodite: Claimed Ares: Hephaestus: Apollo:Claimed Artemis:Claimed Demeter:Claimed Hera: Hermes: Claimed Hestia: Dionysus:Claimed Thought process: Isis, Horus, Osiris: I'm throwing all these guys into one due to them being on the same page and a lot of colors being shared between them. Ok so Isis, when I looked up her animal it said that one was a snake so I did a snake holding her symbol as her tail. She had these wings in a lot of the pictures so that's that. And her leg markings came from clothing she was wearing in another. The necklace thing-a-ma-jig was a thing that all of them were wearing so, because Horus I gave him a hoodie thing, I gave Osiris and Isis the necklace thing. She had this ribbon thing on her head so I added that and her ears became her hair color and were around the disk thing she had in another design. Horus's muzzle is in fact a muzzle and not a beak so keep that in mind. His tail is like the skirt in the pictures things. And Osiris was green so his main fur color is green and he had a dress looking thing so that's that. His Crook and Flail things, one of which I made him hold and the other I made his tail. Set: Not much too say here. I just slapped the Set animal head and tail onto a roughly canine body and gave it a coffin necklace due to the Kane Chronicles. I made it have a dark red energy because I believe red means chaos and Set is the god of Chaos and what not. I carried over colors from the other Egyptian god designs. Zeus: I spelled his name wrong. So, I gave him a lightning tail because of his lightning bolt thing and made him blue because sky. That's really all I have to say. Khonsu and Ra: Ok, this is where more Kane Chronicles stuff comes in. I believe in the 2nd book the revived Ra or something and so I wanted to carry over the old person aspect and also he's supposed to have a ram head in the afterlife so you get the goat cat thing. Also because I forgot to add his mouth and paw pads, those can be any color. And I gave him the item of the rusty map because of the sun journey thing and since Khonsu is the moon god and came up when I searched up Egyptian Traveling gods I gave him a globe so a globe counts as a map right?
(Cont. for Ra and Khonsu) Anyways, since Khonsu is usually depicted as a younger person I made him look a lot more younger and the mask is that I saw a drawing (though not official) of him wearing an outline of a bird face that glowed so I gave him a solid bird mask that doesn't glow. Also they have their moon and sun thing over their heads. Hades: The guy has a dog with three heads so why not make him a cat with three heads. Showing different aspects of death I guess. Poseidon: Another one I misspelled. Anyways went with the theme of 3 and slapped book one's Grover personality on him and called it a day. Also he has 3 gills on each side of his tail and arms work like an octopus. You can make him have no bones if you want. Athena: Owl. Annabeth's hat. Annabeth. Also I'm overseerian trash so I decided to make a reference. Because having it Ulysses wasn't enough. You can change it though to a different book. Aphrodite: Surprised I didn't spell this wrong. Now the idea was cute pan pink cat. Also since she literally has panromantic eyes you may not make her straight or any of sexuality. UwU I'm not letting any homophobes touch her. Ares: Must I explain. His tongue and eyes are fire because his eyes in Percy Jackson were fire I think. Also sunglasses and yeah. Hephaestus: Probably my least favorite but not by much. He is supposed to be gremlin because from what I remember when I was drawing that Hera like yeeted him from their home because that he was gremlin. But I looked it up afterwards and it was because he had a disability so I'm super sorry if I offended anyone by making him gremlin. Also he has a hammer for a paw. Because blacksmith. Apollo: Another one I'm not letting people change his sexuality. Because I heard he's bi in the Trails of Apollo therefore he is bi child here. Also he has a guitar because it's the easiest and I can't draw anything else. It could be a different string instrument though. Artemis: Do I need to explain why she has ace colors for eyes or arrows and a cape. She was fun to do. Demeter: I don't know much about this gal but that she's the goddess of farming or wheat or something so yeah. Hera: She associated with peacocks and I wanted to make her look somewhat motherly. Hermes: I made him a tiny child and had his symbol kinda be on his tail with his snakes. He has the rusty map item too because traveler but this time he drew it. He is very much a tiny child when it comes to drawing. Also his map is taped to his head so he can see it. Idk how to incorporate his trickster element so I just settled to making him look like an innocent child and we all those the innocent looking ones are the most troublesome because why not. Hestia: Yes those are severed paws holding the fire. She controls them with telekinesis because again why not. That has nothing to do with her actual design in mythology. Dionysus: Grape. Dolphin. Wine. Boom you got the design. Again because I'm overseerian trash I has to incorporate a crystal. Also he definitely owns a Hawaiian print shirt that says 'join the cult'. Also idk if Isis, Horus, and Osiris one counts as a ref sheet but if they do please tell me. All designs/art are by me.
