What is it with me and making AUs where either: 1) Everything that already went bad went even worse (which is what happens here, or where Dark Fall actually died, and Depressed/Psycho Dragon Wing AUs) 2) The character is flipped upside-down (Badass Rain, Cowardly Nightwing, etc) Anyways, here's the story! (scroll to bottom to see the actual CC story qwq) So, yes, in all canons and AUs, Rain's family and village get killed off by rouges who invaded their home and decided to destroy it, with Rain being the only survivor, and so she ran away. Now, here's where the AUs begin and the story! In the main canon, Rain runs off and eventually, weak, wounded, and scarred for life (literally and figuratively), she runs into Bright Star, being one of the first outsiders apart from Nightpaw/wing and Flame to join DragonClan. In the next one, Rain is actually a tom instead of a she-cat, and instead of running off at the first chance he gets because everyone she knows is dead, he mans up and seeks revenge. In this one (yeah, finally getting around to the actual CC story) Rain still runs off, because she knows if she stays she'll get killed, but never meets Bright Star and ends up living as a nervous wreck of a loner for the rest of her life. So yeah. That's why I used this specific AU, because "There's no happy ending, not here, and not now." And yeah!
