Instructions

Hello, and welcome to my first color/palette/designs lesson, where we will be focusing on colors :3 Please complete any homework by next sunday, as i will claim each sunday for my lessons. Your work will not be graded but i will keep track of who does their work. (Anybody who does most of my lessons might get a custom or icon :D) My handwriting sucks so heres what each slide says UwU 1- (top arrow) Main color (basically the bright pattern that draws your attention) (bottom arrow) Secondary colors (these are like the main colors of the fur or skin and are often neutral shades of another color) 2- Pick a base color, go for a vibrant of any sort (basically just pick any sort of bright color, try to avoid neutrals but you can use slightly toned down versions) 3- put your first/main color down anywhere (I’m using this graph as an example, any circles or squares work just as long as i can see a difference in the colors) 4- go about 2/3 of the way to the complimentary color (i messed up on this photo lol, but anyway, dont go entirely to the complimentary, stop a little bit before it) 5- Tone down your shade to a more neutral color. Then add a scale going down. (This is a simple step UwU, for scratch art simply go closer to the black part for each section) The Don’t do’s 6- Don’t use a nuetral as your main/pattern color as it will often heavily throw off your palette. 7- Dont use vibrant colors as your secondary’s, i mean imagine a neon green cat with greyish-purple stripes. Not very pleasent right? 8- What palette is more pleasing/ less eye burning 9- Just a circle lol Homework... Please remix this with either three palettes YOU made or one palette YOU made and a drawing using your palette. You don’t need to do this but i would love if you did >w<
