[space or click to go through the different versions/different levels of waterbending] this isn't even a request or commission or entry for anything, it started out as trying to draw from a reference of cat muscles because I couldn't figure out the neck for part of a MAP part and then... idk, i just got distracted somehow argh. and now I'm kinda frustrated because the whole day has kinda gotten away from me and I was hoping to work on my CS project or if not that on the 1% map part (which was actually what I couldn't figure out the neck for so i guess this is kinda related) On the other hand I feel like this is probably the best thing I've ever drawn, realism-wise. on the other hand (yes i know this is 3 hands just deal with it) that's also slightly frustrating because this was my adventure into the "Draw The Brightness First And Then Put The Hues And Colors Under It" drawing style and DANGIT I CAN'T REALLY DO THAT IN NORMAL SITUATIONS WHILE HAVING FUR PATTERNS (I mean it works here because the cat has a solid coat but if it were a tortoiseshell or something? Where some fur has to be darker than others besides shading? What do I do then? And I mean I know I don't have to do this way but it looks good but I like my multiply and dodge blend modes so much and having them be proven ineffective in this situation is kinda frustrating). On the other hand, I feel ike maybe I'll be able to combine the two over time and I"m not sure it matters anyways AND ON THE OTHER HAND WHY CAN I NOT FOCUS ON WHAT I NEED TO AND YET SPEND HOURS ON END ON THE SAME DRAWING sorry for all the weird little ventiness it's just really frustrating yet I feel like I did sort of get something out of this but I don't know if it's worth it and I"m scared and stressed out and I don't know why and argh ok sorry bye oh, also A:TLA is back on netflix and you all should go watch it
Soli Deo Gloria Programs used: Medibang paint. I didn't even pull up sketchbook for this one, just made custom fur brushes in medibang and somehow that worked out great. Reference used (not traced, just referenced): https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/ea/Superficial_muscles_of_a_cat.jpg/300px-Superficial_muscles_of_a_cat.jpg (warning, it is the muscular system so... it's not like bloody or anything, it's just a pencil drawing/diagram of the muscles, but if that sort of thing creeps you out be warned.)
