I did this for fun, not part of the contest. I personaly think the story is my best one yet :)
Story: Sunriver padded out of camp on dawn patrol. He had decided that today he would go alone, not waking up Moonpaw, or Swiftspark, as he should have. He cam to the border and put down his scent marker. He was about to turn back, and head back to camp, when there was a rutsle in the bushes. He hissed in surprise, and turned around. There sat a grey she-cat with darker grey belly fur. "Your pelt pattern is interesting," She complimented. Sunriver sighed, "What are you doing on Shadowclan territory?" He asked, narrowing his eyes. "What do you mean /shadowclan/ territory?" She asked, tilting her head mockingly. He hissed with frustration. He didn't have time for this. He leaped onto the she-cat, digging his claws into her ear. Satisfaction flooded him as he saw blood welled up on it. The she-cat screeched in pain, and said, "You are a feisty one, aren't you? My name is Briar, yours?" Sunriver winced awkwardly. "Sunriver..." Briar smiled, licking her paw, and drawing it over her wounded ear slowly. "Hm. Your a clan cat, right?" She asked. Sunriver nodded. Briar nodded in return. "Could you come tomorrow as well?" She asked, her eyes shining. Sunriver shook his head slowly. "It is very hard to get away from your warrior duties." He meowed slowly. Briar smiled, "please? When you have a chance?" Sunriver nodded, at last! He could have some fun! --with a cat I barely know, though-- He turned away from Briar, and headed back to camp. The next few moons, Sunriver suck out when he could, and met Briar, they played, and talked, and had fun, until one day. Sunriver padded up to the border, and smiled a bit, "what are we gonna do today? Briartail?" He asked. He was proud that, he himself had given Briar her warrior name. Briar was looking smug, and she nuzzled him for a second. "I am expecting your kits!" She purred. Sunriver's heart dropped like a stone, "Seriously?" He asked. Her eyes glowed as she nodded slowly. Sunriver took a step back. "H-how is this gonna work?" He asked, looking over his shoulder, ready to bolt if needed. Briar nodded, "seriously, I will take care of them, and then, we will for more own clan!" Sunriver's jaw dropped, "You mean you want me to abandon my clan join you?" He hissed, "How am I supposed to do that?" Briar, shrugged, "Only when the kits come," she promised. After the meeting, Sunriver was shaken, up, and the next day, he requested to go on the Riverclan border patrol that day. The next day, he trained his apprentice hard, and smiled at Moonpaw's work. --she is shaping up to be a fine warrior,-- he thought as he watched her spar with Berrypaw. A couple sunrises later, he couldn't stay away any longer, so the afternoon after Moonpaw's warrior assessment, he padded out of camp and went to the rouge border. briar was waiting there, love sparking in her eyes. Her belly was round, and she smiled. "They are coming soon," She told him. Sunriver couldn't keep it in any longer. "I am not going to leave my clan for a /rouge/" He spat, "I never meant to have kits with you, and I think my classmates will find out, and not let me live with them anymore, and," he added scathingly, "that isn't a good thing," Briar's eyes glittered with hurt, and she turned away, and fled. He growled under his breath, "and don't come back," The next dawn, he went on dawn patrol with Swiftspark, Moonbriar, and Aspenpaw. He looked around the border, making sure there was no Briar waiting. When the patrol found no signs of anything bad, he couldn't suppress a pang of sadness that went through him. He remembered Moonbriar's warrior ceremony. He had requested her name, in honor of the mate he could have had. He didn't know if Breezestar suspected him of anything, but he couldn't be sure.
