He spent most of his life comfortable around humans even though most of the bats old enough to remember "Freedom" where scared of them. Velvette was considered a bit of an oddball in the colony when he decided to start showing off when the humans came. It made him so exited to see the smiles on the human children's faces when they saw a bat. He became known as the "Trick bat" and enjoyed doing flips and tricks in the air for entertainment. Velvette had always been in danger with all the humans around. One day, a few human children decided they wanted a pet bat and took him away from his home. By the time they were cought by their parents, Velvette was miles away from the colony.
