If you're not in this project, follow @kriblo to be in the next one ;) Thank you all for showing an interest in my work here on Scratch. Some of you for more than six years! This project is to honour all of you. I made this project, "400 around the world", because one of the best parts about Scratch, is that I get to interact with all of you: wonderful people around the world! So again, thanks! All code by me (@kriblo). But don't look inside, it's hideous ;) Downloading, scrubbing and sorting user data, and calculating the country coordinates and profile picture Scratch size were done using JavaScript. I incidentally found a way to see who unfollowed me :( The data for the pen drawn globe was generated (in a separate Scratch project) from a dithered and scaled down map of the world I found online (I forget where). The Scratch user profile pictures were downloaded along with other user information, like user id and country, using the Scratch API (e.g. https://api.scratch.mit.edu/users/kriblo/followers ). The order of users in the internal list is not really important, but is based on geography, user id (i.e. seniority on Scratch) and finally the amount of interaction I've had with that user (based on comments, favorites, loves etc.). Sorry if you changed your profile picture since I downloaded them ;) Music is Around the world, by Daft Punk. What else, right!? No cats were abandoned in this project. #animations #description(My 400 followers project. A rotating earth showing where all my followers come from.)
