This is my character for the Maple group in SBWC :D Maximus Flynte is a short, Japanese, 12-year-old boy. People often underestimate him for his height, which angers him every time it happens. He is firm in beliefs, and not afraid to voice them. Although this may seem a weakness to some, Max sees it as a strength; he is very determined and will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. He is very independent and rebellious. He likes getting his own way, and doesn't like admitting when someone is better than him. Yet, for all his flaws, he still extremely protective of his friends, and everyone he holds dear to his heart, and hates letting them out of his sight. This is because of his past trauma. On his 12th birthday, instead of having a massive celebration, a massacre began in his town. He was forced to watch all his family, friends, and everything he's ever known crumble around him. As the dagger came slicing towards him, though, somehow his crafty, intelligent mind saw a way to avoid what seemed like a certain death; the winding alleyways in his town he knew off by heart, that would confuse the murderers. Although he would never admit it - he's too proud - he is still plagued by nightmares of the terrible night, and it has shaken his whole life. Now, he is most certainly a worrywart, and although he cares for his friends more than anyone could ever know, he does often snap if he gets angry. Before the village was destroyed, Maximus was a poor boy, that was living with his father, Tobias Flynte. As his mother - Maria (nee Plute) Flynte - passed, and her family's wealth with her, Max's world flew into turmoil as he fought to survive one day at a time. Because of this, Max is often complimented for his crafty, intelligent, quick-thinking brain that carried him through his younger years of childhood.
