Cinco de Mayo literally means 'The fifth of May.' It is /not/ Mexican independence day, that's September 16. Cinco de Mayo is when a small army of Mexicans defeated Napolean's giant army in the battle for the town of Puebla de Zaragoza. They sadly lost the war with Napolean, but the battle was such a win that they made it a holiday. If you see any facts that are incorrect, please tell me!
