Hey! Since we're all stuck in quarantine, I thought I'd share some book recommendations :) I'm a firm believer in the saying that there's a book for everyone, whether you like reading or not. So before you dismiss this, read what's below to see if anything's to your liking :) - The Secret Garden (Realistic Fiction) One of my all time favorite books, this one's nice to read if you enjoy reading about major character development and change for the better. - Theodore Boone (Mystery) A great series if you like mystery books. Even though mystery books aren't my favorite, I still enjoyed the series :) - The Doll in the Garden: A Ghost Story (Ghost) Admittedly, I haven't read this in a while, but despite it being a ghost story, the ending is heartwarming in a bittersweet way, and it has a way of being sweet yet slightly creepy throughout the book. - Nightmares! (Fiction) A great book series on overcoming fears and reaching out to others, as well as brotherly love. It finds ways to be entertaining, funny, creepy, and heartwarming all at the same time. - Wednesday Witch (Comedy) Honestly, this is just a feel good book. It made me laugh a lot, and is a really fun, whimsical book :D - Divergent (Dystopian) This book trilogy is great for people who like reading dystopians. The ending is bittersweet and made me cry, but it is definitely worth checking out. - Archibald Finch and the Lost Witches (Fiction) I actually finished this book today, and I've got to say, I can't wait to read the next one. It not only has a captivating storyline, but an unusual protagonist to follow. If you like lore, this is the book for you ;) - Percy Jackson (Fantasy) Yes, I know, I get it. It is popular, and there's always that one kid who's read all the books (I'm that kid), but it honestly is a good book series. It never fails to make me laugh, and the characters are great :) - Fablehaven (Fantasy) The Fablehaven series is one of the best series I have ever read. I'm not even exaggerating. Adventure? Boom, it's there. Magical creatures? Poof you've got a sphinx. Shenanigans that almost lead to certain demise? You bet. This series has so much and more, you have to read it to fully get a sense of how good it is. - The Beyonders (Fantasy) Written by the same author as Fablehaven, instead of putting fantasy things in the real world, it puts real things in the fantasy realm. There are lots of twists and turns in this book, and the plot is gorgeous. This series is a great one for people who like magical abilities and adventure. - Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (Fantasy) Not gonna lie, this book series can get creepy at times, so read at your own discrepency. Despite the creepy, the lore behind it is captivating, and I found myself unable to put it down. - Maximum Ride (Fiction) A story about kids who can fly on the run from an agency using them as test subjects? Hecc yeah! This series is good for people who like nonstop action and people with superhuman abilties :) - James and the Giant Peach (Fiction) Although it starts out depressing, this book ends on a high note as it tells the story of James going on a whimsical adventure with his new friends on a giant flying peach. Honestly, that sums the book up. Read it, I promise you'll be missing out if you don't ;) - The Giraffe, the Pelly, and Me (Fiction) Another book by Roald Dahl. This book is whimsical and funny, and just provides a good break from life. If a window cleaning crew made up of a giraffe with an extendable neck, a monkey, and a pelican doesn't convince you to read this, I don't know what will. - 39 Clues (Mystery) For those of you who like puzzles, family mysteries, and family rivalries, this book is for you. Lots of puzzles in this one ;) - Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH (Fiction) My gosh, where do I begin? A mother mouse seeking help from highly intelligent rats who can read, use tools, and farm so that they can move her house so that her son doesn't have to leave because he has pneumonia? Sign me up! In all honesty though, this is a really good book that I highly suggest you check out. - The Borrowers (Fiction) Imagine that tiny people who lived under your floorboards snuck out to take small objects that you would never realize were missing. Need I say more? - The Golden Door (Fantasy) This book series is just... wow. There's so many twists in this book that the plot resembles spaghetti. If you like magic and adventure, this book series is for you. - The Adventurers Guild (Fantasy) Big on adventure and action? This book has all that and WAY more. Magic, adventure, and mystery are all just the tip of the iceburg with this book. - Sam London and the Gryphon's Claw (Fantasy) This series is really good. There's no other way to describe it. Adventure and fantasy are in this book's core :) - Authors I recommend: Rick Riordan Mary Downing Hahn Brandon Mull Lemony Snicket James Riley Wendy Mass - More books in the comments, I've run out of space :,)
