Instructions

Note: This is a Wings of Fire fan fiction story that I had in my head for years now, so things might not seem right and I am now telling my story to anyone/everyone. Please don't judge if you don't like it, thanks! Warnings: small violence, blood and, spook All Stories began with a hero or, with an outcast. But we aren't outcasts, Intelligence thought. We are queens, the rulers of our tribes! Her wings stiffened looking at the nest. The torches glowed a warm yellow as though suns were hung on the cave walls. Embers flowed in the air as the flames crackled. She waited patenly watching a cluster of eggs all together in the nest. "When is Iguana coming?" A commanding voice behind her said. "Soon, just a little longer." She replied, tucking her tail closely to her chest. "Well I don't know when 'soon' is but, she needs to hurry. Ugh, my dragonet better be worth it." "Now now Bloodbath, theres no need to be angry." Intelligence walked over to the BloodWing and rested her talon on Bloodbath's shoulder. "AGH!" A voice erupted from the entrance. "What happened?!" The LightWing turned her head seeking a bright green dragon. She rushed over quickly picking her up. "CAREFUL! My-AGH-MY EGG!" The GlidWing yelped fighting off her pain. "Grab it quick Bloodbath!" Intelligence grunted holding the dragon up. Soon enough the BloodWing came over and took the egg walking back to the nest and gently placing it inside with the other eggs. The LightWing finally lied the dragon down with a sigh. "Iguana, what happened?" She said concerned and worried. “N-nothing. Watch the eggs, I’m-.” She coughed up blood dripping from the side of her mouth. “Fine-.” “No your not fine, look at you. You need a medic, which there isn’t one in here.” She turned her glance to the entrance, narrowing her eyes. “NO DON’T!” Iguana yelled. “I have to. Bloodbath stay here and watch both of them.” She pointed to the injured dragon. “I’m going out there.” Intelligence got up and marched when she felt something pulling her. Was it the fact she was scared? She turned around quickly seeing Iguana’s grasp of her talon. She had already passed out, her soft and quiet breathing soothing and calm. Intelligence smiled and turned around continuing to walk. She stopped at the entrance. It was quiet and calm, but something didn’t feel right to her. A mixture of cloud and fog fill the air. She felt uneasy and paranoid being exposed from standing at the entrance of the cave . . . alone. She squinted in the dark, scanning for anything moving. She listened as though she could hear a whisper from a mile away. Her talons grinned the stone leaving scratch marks. A rock fell, triggering her to turn her head in a quick motion. “Who’s there?” She demanded fiercely. She her ears perked up, seeing a small creature. Seriously a rached scared me? With one quick glance something slashed the side of her neck as a signal of pain rushed in her mind. Her instincts shown as she fought back slashing at the air. She felt something near her ankle and with a swift movement it tripped her, sending her off the cliff down into the thick fog. “AGh!” She opened her eyes laying next to the eggs. “She’s a wake! Thank four moons!” A voice said in relief. “What-what happened?” Intelligence groaned rubbing her head. Am I dead? “I saw you on the side of the mountain laying unconscious.” The voice said. “Galactic is that . . . you?” She guessed. “Yes, and I’m SO glad you’re alive!” The dragon smiled. Her dark blue scales glistened in the torch light adding a yellow shine. “Is-is Iguana still okay?” Intelligence staggered to get up as a sharp pain jolted into her nerves. “No no no no no, do that! You broke your leg!” “Owww!” She hollered. “And yes Iguana is fine though we don’t know what attacked her. She’s still asleep, but we did manage to stop her vessel’s from bleeding.” Galactic sighed. Something cracked, was it the fire or was it-? “Look they’re about to hatch!” Galactic gasped. A hush fell over the room as they scooted closer to the nest. “Get Iguana over here.” Intelligence pointed to the sleeping dragon. Bloodbath appeared out of the shadows all of a sudden and brought her over to the nest. They all huddled together and observed the eggs. Their where four of them, both slightly smaller or bigger than the other. One green one dark blue one dark red and one grayish white. “I think your egg is going to hatch first, Intelligence!” The SpaceWing’s jaw dropped. A crack appeared from the white shell, as it grew bigger. Intelligence’s eyes widened with a small gasp. A dragon emerged from the egg shell. Its scales where a light yellow gray with green eyes. There where fuzzy splotches on its wings and neck but there where very little feathers grown. It gripped onto the egg and looked up at Intelligence with its small developed eyes as it reflected off the orange yellow glow. She thought for a moment, something brave and protective. Something that resembles a leader. “I’ll name you Griffin.” She smiled.
