Note: It is best to play the game in fullscreen mode since dialogue text looks a bit weird in windowed mode. This project is part 2 of an ongoing series. If you haven't played the first two, I highly recommend playing those first. NEXT STAGE: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/545668971/ PREVIOUS STAGE: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/378205916/ I will be posting all future stages in this studio: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/25918554/projects/ Feel free to follow it to be notified when the latest stage is released. NEW FEATURES: - Added a splash screen when loading the game for the first time. - Improved the main menu sidebar graphic a bit. - Beating hardcore mode now also gives you every other difficulty medal. - After beating hardcore, you will no longer lose your progress when you get a secret ending. - Added a reminder on the main menu that appears if you haven't loaded your save file yet. NEW GAMEMODE: Speedrun 2.0 (Select it from the modifiers menu) Instead of taking turns, attacks will come one after the other without breaks. Each attack has a timer, when the time runs out, the next attack begins. Getting hit will add 1.5 seconds to the attack timer. Healing items can be used at any time by pressing "C". Healing items have a cooldown of 3-7 seconds depending on what difficulty you are playing on. Using a healing item will add 5.0 seconds to your overall time. Every 4 seconds, a green time orb will spawn in a hard-to-reach location. Collecting it will reduce the attack timer by 3.0 seconds. Time orbs will disappear after a while if left uncollected. Some attacks (like the puzzles on turn 3 and 7) do not have an attack timer. IMPORTANT: Each stage will be released as a separate project. The save file code keeps track of your progress across all stages so be sure to use the same save file code for all future stages to avoid losing any of your progress. If you see any bugs or issues, please let me know in the comments! Use the mouse to navigate the main menu. Controls in battle are the same as Undertale. (arrow keys to move, z to select, x to go back, etc.) A lot of the background animations look pretty bad compared to Theking35's animation due to Scratch's clone limits. Some of the harder attack patterns have also been significantly nerfed because some of the attack patterns in the animation would be downright unfair in a real game.
Please feel free to remix my projects! I'd like to see what ideas everyone can come up with! This is a non-commercial game for educational purposes based on Season 1 Episode 2 of Undertale Distorted Distinctive Destiny on Youtube. Details on how the code works can be found inside of the project.
