PalmWings // Abilities \\ - PalmWings are able to change the color of the feathers that cover their body - They exhale freezing water ⠀⠀⠀~ Some are born without this ability ⠀⠀⠀~ Some exhale boiling water instead of freezing ⠀⠀⠀water - PalmWings are able to climb trees fairly easily and can hang from them upside-down with only their talons ⠀⠀⠀~ This comes from their rigid claws - PalmWings can breathe in both salt and freshwater ⠀⠀⠀~ They do not have any underwater cities // Civilization \\ - PalmWings do not have Queens and instead have chiefs ⠀⠀⠀~ Anyone can be a chief ⠀⠀⠀~ When a chief gets old they choose a dragonet to ⠀⠀⠀train to be the next chief - They live in trees, much like RainWings, but their village isn't hidden - PalmWings are born with darker scales that blend into their surroundings ⠀⠀⠀~ This is so dragonets are hidden from predators - When a dragonet turns six they will 'grow' feathers that can be any color of the rainbow. When they turn seven the feathers are shed and the newly-made adult dragons go to the beaches of the island and celebrate the loss of their feathers // Island & Habitat \\ - PalmWings are more interested in meat than fruit, but dragons still gather fruit in case they run out of food before the next hunt. - There are many dangers on the island, but due to the PalmWing's choosing to live on the outskirts of the jungle, they aren't bothered by dangerous animals very often - The center of the village has a campfire and many places to cook food and socialize - The PalmWing huts are connected to trees. Each tree is like a neighborhood // Lore \\ - PalmWings came to their island as a large group of random dragons. PalmWings are mega hybrids of each tribe that have become their own after thousands of years - There was once an underwater city that was created after a dragonet was overlooked in the choosing of the next chief. They decided to rebel but were eventually taken down - After a curious chief was chosen, they sent twenty dragons to find the continent they came from. The twenty were caught in a hurricane on the way to Pyritha and eighteen were killed. One washed up on the shores of Pyritha and was killed by a dragon that thought they were a hybrid, and the other was taken in by a group of dragons in the Scorpion den. After they kept talking about the PalmWings for hours at a time, the dragons took the PalmWing to be locked up because they believed the PalmWing was insane.
