Soooo long. For quite a while, I didn't have time for Scratch or Sun Rising anymore, and honestly, I just didn't feel like continuing the series. I took it way too seriously, and consequently telling the story felt overwhelming. Plus, there were other things in my life that came up and were more important to me than this. And that was good. But deep down, I've always wanted to tell this story, somehow, someway. And now after finishing a year of ministry school and an internship in Vietnam, my life is finally settling down again. I have a job now. I'm settling into a routine. And I have time and energy to tell stories again. Something I didn't realize how much I missed doing :) As far as this particular story goes, I spent so long trying to come up with the best way to tell it. I came to terms a couple years ago with the fact that I can't keep doing things like Episode 1 on a regular basis. I'm not an animation studio, or even that great at animating lol xD But that's another thing I've learned: I don't have to be great. I don't need to produce quality OR quantity. This is a story. That I want to tell. For fun. That's all :) Anyway, I considered writing it in novel form, but that just didn't quite fit. To give the characters audible voices and then to take them away just seems sad to me. So... we'll see what happens and what form the story takes :) Not gonna promise a time frame or anything. For my fun projects (the category in which Scratch falls), I don't work like that anymore. But I just want you to know, this project is still breathing. It's just currently sleeping xD I really appreciate those of you who continue to ask me about Sun Rising. You are the ones who keep reminding me that this is a story I love and want to tell. You inspire me to continue.
