Although I play Minecraft, I decided to try out Minetest. It was more fun than I expected! So, this is essentially what Minetest is. "An open source voxel game engine. Play one of our many games, mod a game to your liking, make your own game, or play on a multiplayer server." It's inspired by the likes of Minecraft and Infiniminer. However, if you want a Minecraft experience in Minetest, I recommend MineClone 2, by Wuzzy.
