[DISCLAIMER] if you don't agree with anything i might say here, please don't make a big deal of it. you can have different opinions, but you don't need to attack someone because they don't agree with what YOU think is right. thank you, please continue if you'd like <3 --- this topic is about art theft + recoloring. i'll try to be as nice as possible when speaking about this. i'm sure everyone in the art community knows about art theft and recoloring. while i understand that you can get inspired by people's art, and it's good to practice different techniques with other people's art! but, if you're deliberately COPYING and posting someone's art on social media and saying it's your own, that's a big no-no. personally, i believe that tracing when you're a beginner or trying to LEARN from artists you like is completely fine. but, there's a fine line between stealing other people's art and trying to learn from them. now, i know what some people will probably say that maybe they do it because they aren't comfortable with their own art or want to be famous (or whatever reason they may have). for the fact that people may not be comfortable with sharing their own style,,,,, YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE A 'STYLE' TO BE CONSIDERED AN ARTIST!! if you aren't comfortable with your own art, you don't have to post anything related to art! the only way you can be comfortable with your own art is to PRACTICE. use other people's art for inspiration, NOT your own benefit! and for people who want to get 'famous',,, you know those people, i'm sure. they see something blow up on the internet so they think to steal it to see if they get the same fame. because YES people, you'll definitely get famous by posting art with the watermark of the person who actually made it, because art theft totally isn't talked about all the time and you won't get obliterated by the artist and everyone who follows the artist,,, *i'm sorry that was probably way too sarcastic,,, i didn't mean to sound rude ;w;* anyways,, that concludes my strange rant! if you made it to the end,,, good job i applaud u here have a muffin good child u_u
