If you want to take a message and encode it, type in a codeword that you can remember and then the message after you press the checkmark on the codeword. Copy/paste the list to send it to someone by triple clicking it. If you want to decode something that someone sent you, first type in the codeword that they chose (if you don't know ask them for it) and then after you press the checkmark on that, type in the text that they sent you. The message will be under the words "decoded text" UHHHHH... please don't use this code to break the community guidelines, I will check every comment and delete the ones that need deleting.
Thanks to a book entitled 'Mysterious Messages' for teaching me about the Enigma Machines of WWII. And to Pegboard Nerds for the music If you want to see more of the lists and variables, press space. How it works: the project has 2 main lists, one in alphabetical order and one seemingly random. It takes the codeword and "rotates" the pseudo random list until the first letter of the codeword matches the "a" on the alphabetical list. It then takes the newly arranged list and matches the plaintext letter with the same numbered letter on the other list. It keeps repeating the process until the encryption is finished. This project is not the same as the Enigma machines, just a simplified version of it with only two wheels (lists.) actually, research, I think this might be closer to ?Albertis? wheel cypher.
