A love and a favorite would be appreciated! Welcome to Storytime With Lacuna! Yayyyy At last the real story unravels! What other secrets are to be revealed in the near(ish) future? Where is Tembi? And most of all: who are the mysterious "equalizers"? (I spent 10 minutes entirely made up of thinking of something mysterious to put here so you better read it, gosh dang it!) DOWN WITH LIPSYNC, UP WITH BARELY MOVING MOUTHS! Note: I forgot to add a line for Lacuna where she mentions that guardians can go back and forth between their winged guardian form and their regular wolf form, and I was too lazy to add it. So there's that info! Also, when Kira says "But you said that guardians are the youngest of the family and Tembi's the oldest! Wait...unless..." she's realizing that there's a chance that she had other siblings. Lacuna responds with "Their names were Kushi and Edur." She's basically saying that those are the names of her siblings.

Lacuna: *Sigh* Kira: Ummm...Lacuna? That's your name, right? I think I heard Ashanti call you that. Lacuna: Yes...it is...you know about Aura Pack, yes? Kira: I don't know what it is, but I've heard some wolves mention it. Lacuna: When wolves of Moon Pack, Sun Pack, Sky Pack or Star Pack die (I forgot to add Sky Pack in the line) the go to Aura Pack and become a part of the Aurora. A select few wolves have the ability to communicate with the members of Aura Pack. I am one of these wolves. We are called Aura Readers. Kira: Okay, that's really cool, but what does that have to do with what happened to me? Lacuna: There's much for you to know before I get to that! Now please, be patient. Long ago, before we lived in packs, we lived in two kingdoms. The Night Kingdom and The Day Kingdom. There was a young she-wolf named Lura who fell in love with Amar. Unfortunately, Lura was of The Night Kingdom and Amar was of The Day Kingdom. At this time, the two kingdoms were at war and their love was impossible. Kira: Ugh...a forbidden love story? Gross! Lacuna: Hush! Now, the two wolves attempted to stop the war, but were sadly killed in the process. After they died, Enu, the creator of all, took pity on them and brought them back to Earth. but not as normal wolves. No...he brought them back as the first guardians. Lura took the name Lunariette, and Amar took Amateron. They protected all that was good until death claimed them both. Their powers were too strong to be left alone, so they found new hosts. The powers split into 12 different powers and found 12 different hosts. The elements are fire, water, earth, air, ice, wood, lightning, life, death, spirits, darkness and light. Whenever a guardian dies, their powers find a new host, chosen by Enu. Enu often chooses the youngest of the family. This has caused jealousy among older members of the family. These wolves have created an organization known as the Equalizers and they have found ways to take away a guardians powers. Your mother and father were guardians at one point before the guardians took away their powers. The spirits have told me that, despite how powerful Umber and Golden were, their powers are gone! Do you understand the danger that the guardians are in right now? Kira: W-wait! What are you saying? Lacuna: I...don't know of which element...but...I know now that you are a guardian. As is your brother, Tembian. Kira: No...no...that's not...I can't be!! Lacuna: ... Kira: But you said that guardians were the youngest of the family and Tembi's the oldest! Lacuna: ... Kira: Wait... unless...? Lacuna: Their names were Edur and Kushi. After they found out that your parents were Guardians, they joined the Equalizers. Kira: But...they weren't the ones to take Umber and Golden's powers away...were they? Lacuna: I think you know the answer to that question... Kira: ... Lacuna: Kira, I'm sorry! I've always suspected that you were a guardian and I should've told you sooner. And I'm sorry! Kira: I'm...gonna go take a walk. I'll be back by morning. Lacuna: I understand. Be back before morning and stay safe. Ashanti: Hey, Kira! You leaving? Kira: Hey...who's that? Ashanti: This is that wolf you attacked. Her name is Cyra. Kira: Oh! Uh, hey, Cyra! Cyra: *growls* Ashanti: Heheh...have fun, Kira! (After Kira returns...) Ashanti: Kira! Oh I'm so glad you're safe!! Kira: Why wouldn't I be? Ashanti: Kira, Tembi is missing!
