-Velvet -male, he/him -late 20s -wolf -reliable, know-it-all, caring (on the inside), reclusive -Velvet is currently the best gambler at one of the casinos in town. He gets all the girls (and guys ;)), has his own suite at the casino, yet he still has this.. emptiness. He's unsure of what it is. His therapist just said he's lonely. He fired them. - The place: Las Vegas, NV. The time: around midnight. "Shouldn't we drop him off at the hotel first?" "There's no time." A couple and their child are rushing to get to a casino in time to.. meet some people. They arrive at the meeting place. The girl turns around and kneels down. "Alright, kiddo. Your dad and I are going to speak with his friends inside here. You just wait around the corner until we're done, got it?" "Yes, mama." She kisses him on his forehead. "Good boy. I'll be back in a little bit." She heads inside with her partner. The boy sits down and fiddles with the gravel beneath him. Inside, the couple gets startled by a hefty man yelling "What took you so **** long?!" "Apologies. We were on our way, when we-" "Enough with the chit-chat, boys," says a man from the corner of the room. He walks over to the couple and whispers, "We've got a game to play." *because i have no idea how casinos and gambling works, we're gonna fast forward a bit* Outside, the little boy gets impatient. He leans on the door to try and hear what they're doing. "You ******* cheater!" He hears chips violently thrown on the floor. "I didn't know!" The boy tries to open the door, but it seems to be stuck. He hears guns click. "You wouldn't dare." "Bet." Suddenly, he hears a loud: BANG BANG! After shaking the doorknob a little, he opens the door. BANG! He looks up at his father, then down at his mom. "Mama?" Everything is quiet. He looks back up. His dad stares at him for a minute, before running out the door to who knows where.
