The creature's legs were dark and spindly but seemed as thick as tree trunks. They clacked along the ground as it crept ever closer. The face of the spidery "thing" was almost human. The thin nose seemed normal, and the mouth seemed so to, until it opened to reveal long, needle-sharp fangs caked with who-knows-what. The most prominent thing though, was it's skin. The tone of it's flesh was a bright crimson, the crimson of blood, as if stained by it's previous meals. The hunched shape peered out from the shadows at me with four pale indigo eyes. It's ruby pupils stared into mine, and in that moment, I knew that this would be the last face I would ever see.
